Pretty Little Liars (Season 1 Review)

Never trust a pretty girl with an ugly secret
The name itself appealed me to give this show a try, and guess what? It was totally worth it. Pilot episode starts from 30H!3’s mind blowing song and Alison’s disappearance. Then focuses on the lives of the rest of the four girls,  after 1 year of the heart wrenching incident. Then we get introduced to the mysterious evil ‘A’ who is out for all four of the girls’ blood and knows their deepest darkest secrets, the ones if revealed can cause a lot of trouble.

One thing that I loved the most of about this show is their music scores, I couldn’t think of a better theme song than ‘Secret – The pierces”, the song gives you a chill in your back. And most of you will agree with me on this, once you have watched the pilot episode the first thing you do is, open your web browser and search for the songs played in the episode.

And unlike Gossip Girl (The producers of gossip girl are behind ‘Pretty little Liars’), a normal teenage girl can actually relate to the characters, all of them have an interesting story of their own. They are not Upper East Side princesses and have to face the bitter truth of life. All the girls are bonded together again due to their common mischievous foe, ‘A’, which after watching the latter episodes we can guess that doesn’t stand for ‘Alison’ and it can stand for ‘Anonymous’ (fits the bill) !!!

The way all the four girls always lookout for each other, and have each other’s back whenever they go and face Evil, is something that the young girls today can learn from. And once you started watching this show it’s hard to resist, the mystery keeps the show alive.

My Final Verdict – “A Very Promising show with unique characters and interesting storyline, it’s Totally worth your time.”

My Ratings – 8.7/10
